Good Form

Ft. @shrinkthisviolet's Morgan Wells (RF!Morgan Variant) and my OC Siv Thawne. Takes place shortly before this. Happy birthday!

"Your form is off."

Morgan could sense the person standing behind her before she even heard them speak. The lightning in her veins reacted to their presence, the hairs on the back of her neck standing up on end. Morgan turned around slowly, ready to face off with whoever this was.

A small yet heavily muscular young woman stood behind Morgan, bloodstained bandages wrapped around her knuckles. Her hair was dark, cropped, and coily, and a scar ran over one eye, cutting through her left eyebrow.

"I'm Siv. She/they." They held out a hand for Morgan to shake. Morgan noticed the lightning bolt shaved into the side of her hair, and the lightning bolt-shaped industrial piercing in their ear. If they were a speedster, which they probably were, they weren't exactly subtle.

"Morgan. She/her."

"I know." Siv waved her off, nonchalant. Morgan frowned hesitantly. Who was this, anyway? "I saw you're having trouble with the bag. Mind if I show you the works?"

Morgan took her hand, a spark of lightning passing from Siv's hand into hers. Morgan pulled her hand back in shock. "Ow!"

"I tend to have that effect on people." Siv shrugged. "First of all, your hands are wrapped wrong. You have to wrap the knuckles individually, you can't just wad it around your hand like fucking toilet paper and hope for the best."

"How do you know all this?"

"What, stuff about boxing or about you?" Siv looked up, a knowing look in gray-blue eyes that seemed far too familiar. "Because either way, it's not every day you meet someone else who was raised a weapon."

Morgan took a step back, narrowing her eyes. "Who are you?"

"Sivonne Alessandra Thawne, at your service." Siv took a bow, keeping her eyes fixed on Morgan. It was clear that Siv was just as uneasy around Morgan as she was around them, even with their nonchalant exterior. "Before you ask- no, I'm not working with him, and yes, I am his child."

"Why did you come here?" Morgan adjusted her hand wraps, the way Siv had shown her. "Obviously not just to teach me to punch."

"No." Siv replied, standing by the punching bag. "First, you have to keep one foot forward- the nondominant one. I'm a southpaw, so I've got my right one forward, but you might want to lead with your left."

"Southpaw?"

"Lefty." Siv clarified. "Sorry, I've been in Muay Thai since I was in fuckin' Pull-Ups, so the language is pretty ingrained."

Morgan nodded. "I'm also left-handed."

"If you're left-handed, you're going to want to lead with your right. Keep your hand closed tightly, and don't tuck in your thumb or you're going to break your whole fucking hand, got it?" Siv explained, making a faux strike at the punching bag to show Morgan her technique.

Morgan clenched her fist, throwing her weight forward. Her fist met the punching bag, sending it swinging backward. "Like that?"

"Good." Siv nodded, turning to leave. "Keep it up. You'll need it."

"Wait." Morgan paused, suspicious. "Why are you actually here?"

"I heard you've caught a bit of heat here." Siv replied. "Thought you might need somewhere to go."

"Why are you doing this?"

"Because I've been you." Siv held out a small sticky note with an address on it, 'Earth-2002' written in parentheses at the bottom. "I know what it's like to be stuck in between a rock and a hard place. And I could use a little help getting rid of my universe's Eobard problem."

"So that's why you're here." Morgan narrowed her eyes. "You need an exterminator."

"And you need an ally." Siv countered. "One day they're all going to turn on you, and you're going to be alone. When that happens, you're going to need someone on your side. I'm offering to be that person."

"I don't take that from strangers." Morgan replied. In a flash of lightning, she dashed towards Siv, who caught her by the arm, fingers digging into her flesh.

Siv grinned, baring their teeth, more as a threat than a gesture of joy. Something about Siv seemed to burn into Morgan, the tingles in her stomach turning to full-on nausea. "Rule number one that most people learn? Don't test me. I make a far better ally than enemy."

"So I hear." Morgan pulled her arm from Siv's grasp. "I'll think about your offer."

"Don't forget what I said." Siv gestured to the punching bag. "Otherwise, you're going to break something."

Morgan got the feeling that they meant something more than just her hand, but chose to let it go. Siv threw a few more mock punches, just for appearances, then unwrapped her knuckles, which were surprisingly pristine considering the blood on the wraps (someone else's?) and turned to leave.

"You need an ally." Siv said as she left. "Chances are, you're not going to find one around here."

Lucy + fluent in several languages

Rae is the obvious answer, she works as a translator and is fluent in 6 languages in addition to English, but I've got a few other OCs this applies to as well!

Ophelia knows Italian and a bit of Yiddish in addition to English

Robin knows ASL and BASL, and she grew up with a bit of Gaeilge

Gia has a bit of Greek, though she hasn't spoken it in a while and is definitely rusty

Spider grew up speaking Lao and Hindi when he visited his mom's side of the family, though it's been a few years and he's much better at listening/understanding than he is speaking.

And of course Eris speaks just about every language on the planet Earth, they've been around for literal centuries.

I commissioned the wonderful, amazing @sakura-rose12 to do a silly little comic of Kit and his fam collectively realizing that they are, in fact, Royal Idiots. Poor Cora has only known this kid for six months and he's already wondering how he's survived this long without realizing something so simple 😂

I'm so happy Lavi finally has a face to his name and that Leif looks as lovely as I'd pictured him in my head but couldn't properly get when I tried to draw him myself, lol. Sakura's a magician, I swear!

Anyways, go give Sakura lots of love!!! She makes amazing art about the Heart Pirates and CoraLaw and even has her own webcomic called Dame Daffodil! Also her Oc/self-insert x Sabo art is ADORABLE so give that love, too, please!

I’m glad you love Amelia! Nothing written for her at the moment…though if anyone wants to request a prompt fill for her the next time I post a prompt list, I’d be glad to write a ficlet for/about her! I love her dearly, I just haven’t been able to plot a proper fic for her yet. Maybe one day, but probably not anytime soon.

Happy Sunday, friend! I’ve been kind of making an OC and have been thinking about this, so I’m curious…

If Lavinia was in the game, what would her deploy, ultimate, victory, upgrade, defeat, and recruitment lines be? (Basically the lines in the voice over section, bonus if you want to include her resonance page line!)

BONUS

While not fully fleshed out, her skills would include these (some of which are seen in the fanfiction, too).

Distraction Force (Ultimate) Summons a shadowy Hypofiend version of herself to draw enemy attention. Will then move behind the strongest enemy to deal a heavy blow against them, making them more vulnerable for some time.

Swift Strike Lavinia uses her sword to deal a couple of swift strokes at the enemy.

Shadow Dodge Being permanently infused with small parts of Berial's powers, Lavinia can evade a certain number of final blows by moving into the shadows, changing tiles as she does so.

I don't think her actual attack powers are very remarkable, though, I just think she might be a warrior that's a little harder to kill than ... Valen. xD So she's more someone to use if you're hoping to work against the game clock.

Any crossovers for Amelia? 👀

I mean... of course she'd get a crossover with Ophelia! Given they're both pretty multiversally-oriented in their respective timelines, with the whole Spider-Man No Way Home thing, I don't think it would be too tough to put together a crossover for them!

I think it would be really interesting to see how they'd interact, both as children of Otto and Rosalie (ESPECIALLY with how different their stories are and the whole biological versus adoptive dynamic, I think they'd have some really fun interactions)

If I were to write a multiverse-style crossover for the two of them, I'd try to set it up to where neither of them knows the other is also an Octavius. Amelia thinks Ophelia is a copycat antihero (or even just thinks she's an outright multiversal Doc Ock like Olivia Octavius from Spiderverse), Ophelia is only told about Amelia being Peter Parker's sister and doesn't learn about her being adopted by the Octaviuses, and the two of them interact on this completely neutral plane before either of them ever realizes they were raised by the same people in different versions of the multiverse.

I dunno, I think it could be a neat idea. Similar to No Way Home, but not quite.

Ooh how would Morgan and Berrie get along 👀

oooooh that depends on how they meet actually I think! if Berrie's having a bad time like in Born to Run currently, then I could see there being a bit of friction at first - Berrie would be hyper-focused on his goal and standoffish if not outright rude, even if Morgan tried to help her (not unlike how Harry was when Barry tried to help him in that early season 2 episode)

if Berrie was in a good place, tho, they'd probably become instant besties, they're a lot like Barry when they're happy, an absolute puppy of a person <3333

Narya's big dorm room is fun to try to figure out, even though I still don't feel like I'm getting it right. It gives me even more reasons to draw more of the daily life from the inside of the Ordrer's building though. And just design. Aaaaall the things.

Ooooh well now I've been forced to show my hand a little, well played 😅 here's the way Morgan finds out about Eowells!

Finding out was… Well, it was surprisingly easy. Insultingly so, even. “Feel the lightning…feel its power…” “Aunt Tina? If a speedster were to vibrate really fast, could they phase through walls?” “That’s…well, I suppose. But that seems awfully theoretical, I wouldn’t know the first thing about that.” “Its electricity pumping through your veins. Crackling through you…traveling to every nerve in your body like a shock!” “…I guess I can ask the Flash, then.” “Yes, that seems wise. No one would know better than a speedster.” “You’re no longer you now. You’re part of something greater.” “And do let me know, won’t you, what he says?” “Of course, Aunt Tina.” “Part of a Speed Force. “It’s yours.” Did he think they couldn’t hear him? Did he think himself so infallible? Did he think them so stupid that they wouldn’t put the pieces together? …well, then again, it didn’t seem like anyone else had. But she had. She’d figured it out, because she was clever, she was smart, she wasn’t stupid— She wanted to shake him, wanted to scream and demand answers—did you really think I wouldn’t find out? About you, about what you told Barry, about… About you… Oh my God. Maybe she was stupid, if it had taken this long for the implications to truly set in. Because now…now, she knew she was living with a murderer. And she had no way out.
